Sel de Mer Candle Company is a Halifax-based candle brand inspired by the connection between scent and memory. Founded by lifelong best friends Bhreagh and Sarah, two East Coasters who found their way back home to Nova Scotia, Sel de Mer was created to capture the feeling of homecoming, the way a single scent can bring you back to a familiar place or moment in time.

Each candle is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the landscapes, seasons, and stories of coastal life, from salty shorelines and warm summer evenings to the quiet comfort of home. Every fragrance is designed to feel personal, nostalgic, and grounded in real memories and lived experience.

Launched in the summer of 2025, Sel de Mer Candle Company is a reflection of where we come from and the memories that have shaped us. All candles are hand-poured in small batches in Halifax, Nova Scotia using 100% soy wax and clean, non-toxic fragrances. Our products are vegan, cruelty-free, and free from phthalates and parabens.
